DAY WEEKEND NO INTERNATIONAL NOISE

Today Wednesday, April 28, 2010, marks the International Day Awareness Noise for the purpose of promoting internationally the care of the acoustic environment, preservation of hearing and awareness of the inconvenience and damage that generate noise.

More than nine million English bear the daily average noise levels that exceed the limit "acceptable" to mark the World Health Organization (WHO), set at 65 decibels.

This follows from the data that have been released to mark the World Day Anti-Noise, held today 28 April. Spain ranks second in the ranking of the most noisy, which only exceeded Japan.

This problem does not go unnoticed by the population, largely because their mood can be affected by having to endure noise levels higher than those specified.

According to this study, construction (49.4 percent), the barking of dogs (25.3 percent), the garbage truck (24.6 percent) and traffic (24.1 percent) are the sounds that most annoy the English in their daily lives.
